RARO REEF SUB
A "dry" underwater experience 

The Raro Reef Sub Marine Life Eco Tour is the only one of its kind in the Cook Islands. Departs daily on a 1 hour 15 minute cruise from Avatiu Harbour, adjacent to Avarua, the main township.

​

The Reef Sub cruises along Rarotonga's northern coast over shipwrecks, including the RMS Maitai which sank in 1916.

See and photograph what lies beneath the deeper waters surrounding Rarotonga including giant trevally, spotted eagle rays, turtles, reef fish, coral and other sea life. You can do whale watching while on season.

You will also enjoy a wonderful view of the island of Rarotonga from the top deck.

The tour operates every day at 11am and 2pm weather permitting and it's 1.5 hours long

  • What to Bring: Your camera and a light jacket in case it gets windy.

  • Child Policy: Infants 0-2 Years must be accompanied by an adult - FOC

  • Tours operates 9am, 11am, 2pm & 4pm daily (weather permitting).

​

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

​

  • 7 days prior - 20% charge

 

  • Less than 24 hours prior - 100% charge 

  • Cancellation due to weather - option to rebook for another date or full refund.
