RARO SAFARI TOUR
A Mountain Adventure 

Take to the mountains and valleys of Rarotonga where the normal tourist traffic can’t get to and discover the beauty of tropical Rarotonga. Raro Safari Tours offers an exciting half day adventure into the interior of the island of Rarotonga and visiting some of the islands hard to get to places. This is a must do tour towards the beginning of your stay on Rarotonga and is a great way to really get a feel for the lay of the land.
 

The tour starts as soon as you are picked up from your hotel. Your experienced guide will give you a brief overview of the island and what the tour entails, and from there, you will be taken on the main coastal road to pickup other guests and then head inland to discover the lush tropical interior of the island.

Our ancient road, the Are metua, built and paved with volcanic slabs by our ancestors Toi and Atonga. The eastern heights facing the sunrise, offering an exotic view of the turquoise lagoon and electrifying blue water and overlooking four islets (motu). Our experienced guides will explain the history of the island while they take you to Rarotonga's highest accessible point by 4 wheel drive, along the rugged tracks and steep climbs of the interior. All tours include hotel transfers and morning tours include a tasty BBQ fish lunch.
